Penguin Random House: Westminster’s 24th Annual PRH Book Fair Goes Virtual

The 2021 Penguin Random House Book Fair is scheduled for Friday, April 9, and Saturday, April 10. Respecting the safety of our community, the 24th annual presentation of this popular extravaganza will take on a hybrid virtual format this year and consist of a variety of activities delivered via a micro-site.

Please join us, from the comfort of your own home, for the re-imagined Fair!

Devoted to literacy and education, this event for all ages helps to raise much-needed funds for student scholarships at Carroll Community College, located in Westminster, MD.

The Book Fair will present a variety of virtual activities such as author talks featuring Penguin Random House guest authors, a book sale, STEM activities, a Silent Auction and a variety of children’s activities.

Pre-recorded and live author talks include:

Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff discussing AURORA BURNING (Ember), the second book in the epic Aurora Cycle series featuring a squad of misfits, losers, and discipline cases who just might be the galaxy’s best hope for survival

Mary Pope Osborne presenting her latest book, MAGIC TREE HOUSE #35: Camp Time in California (Random House Books for Young Readers). The magic tree house whisks Jack and Annie to Yosemite National Park in 1903. They are surprised to join John Muir and President Theodore Roosevelt on the most significant camping trip in conservation history.

Ann Napolitano opening windows into DEAR EDWARD (The Dial Press Trade), a Read with Jenna Book Club Pick about the sole survivor of a plane crash who makes an unexpected discovery—one that will lead him to the answers of some of life’s most profound questions.
