Performance of Banks reviewed at Udhampur

Udhampur: The performance of the Banks for the quarter ending Dec 2020 was today reviewed here at the District Level Review Committee (DCC) meeting chaired by Additional District Development Commissioner Udhampur, Ashok Kumar.

The meeting reviewed the performance of banks regarding achievement under Annual Credit Plan 2020-21 and the position of deposits, advances and CD ratio.

Chief Planning Officer, Rajeev Bushan; Lead District Manager, SBI, , Ramesh Raina; DDM NABARD, Rajesh Kumar; District Information Officer, Sajad Somberia; Cluster Head J&K Bank, Sanjeev Kumar; Chief Manager, SBI, C.M. Bhat; Project Officer DUDA, General Manager DIC, Director RSETI, Chief Agri Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, BDOs of various Blocks, representatives of various Banks and various other district functionaries who attended the meeting.

Lead District Manager, Ramesh Raina informed the house the district recorded Rs.5427.89 deposits and Rs 1954.21 crore Advances as on December 31, 2020 . The CD ratio of the district was 36%. The LDM further informed out of 80763 KCC cases sponsored by agriculture department, Banks have sanctioned 77166 and 56107 have been credit linked to the tune of Rs.206.14 crore till the said period. Under ACP 2020-21, the achievement were 615.94 crore against the Annual Target oF Rs. 1521.44 crore .

District Social Welfare Officer, Sajad Soumbaria also raised the issue of Aadhar seeding with Social Pension A/Cs for smooth transfer of funds in the Social Security A/Cs, LDM R.K.Raina also suggested the methology to achieve 100% mapping of the said A/Cs.

During the meeting, the ADDC stressed on holding camps on regular basis for spreading financial literacy, Aadhar Seeding of DBTs and Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojna scheme,

The ADDC also advised Banks to be liberal in financing new start ups under self-employment schemes. He sought 100% linkage of PMKISSAN A/Cs with KCCs by the end of March 2021.

The ADDC also held a detailed review of all the government sponsored schemes with special focus on KCC and Prime Minister Employment Guarantee Program(PMEGP). He asked the sponsoring agencies to conduct awareness camps in the Panchayats in coordination with banks to encourage and motivate the people for self-employment.
