The PetrSU Career Center organized an online meeting of PetrSU students and staff with AEK LLC.
The presentation of the company was held in a dialogue format. Representatives of the personnel department of the company Irina Vladimirovna Kukharevich and Alexandra Ilkaeva spoke about the company, current vacancies, guarantees and working conditions.

LLC “AEK” is one of the factories of the international concern PKC Group (Finland) and is located in the city of Kostomuksha. It is engaged in the manufacture of electrical wiring for heavy vehicles and buses of such major world concerns as Volvo, Skania, MAN, John Deere. More than 700 people work in “AEK” LLC, 90% are women. The enterprise has its own first-aid post, physiotherapy and massage rooms, and a canteen.

Employees of the company spoke in more detail about the production processes, the peculiarities of working in various positions, career opportunities and the existing system of steps, which allows for a gradual increase in wages based on the results of the employee’s work. The plant has a personnel training center, a mentoring system, English language courses, and a leadership program. Once a year, a development conversation is held, during which the employee is discussed with his further promotion in the company.

The company invites to work it-specialists with knowledge of English to support programs and adjust equipment, labor protection specialists, environmentalists and engineers.

Vsevolod Alekseevich Shain, deputy director for educational work of the Institute of Forest, Mining and Construction Sciences, suggested that the company’s employees come to PetrSU in September and hold a presentation of the company in person. This wish was also expressed by the deputy director for educational work of the Physico-Technical Institute Niyole Stanislavovna Skorikova. In addition, Niyole Skorikova discussed the issues of internship at the plant of the company “AEK” and the provision of housing for young specialists.

Marina Vladimirovna Danilova, Head of the Educational and Methodological Department of PetrSU, suggested that the company consider the issue of targeted training of specialists for AEK LLC and additional training for students, and also asked questions about the level of salaries of employees.

AEK LLC is open to long-term cooperation with PetrSU and accepted an invitation to meet with employees and students in the fall of 2021. For the next 5 years, the company is ready to employ at least 5 employees annually.
