PetrSU Cross-Country Skiing Championship

The championship of PetrSU in cross-country skiing took place on the city track of Fontana.
The competitions had the status of a personal-team competition: the participants competed with each other for prizes for the best result, and each result brought points to their institute. More than 70 people went to the start. Boys covered a distance of 5 km, girls – 3 km.
As a result of a hard struggle, the strongest among the young men were:
1st place – Matvey Voronov (Institute of Forestry, Mining and Construction Sciences), result 13 min. 44 sec.
II place – Nikita Murin (Institute of Physics and Technology), result 13 min. 48 sec.
III place – Valentin Serba (Institute of Forestry, Mining and Construction Sciences), result 13 min. 54 sec.
The girls’ places were distributed as follows:
1st place – Polina Teppoeva (Institute of Mathematics and Information Technologies), result 10 min. 10 sec.
II place – Yulia Byrdina (Medical Institute), result 11 min. 15 sec.
III place – Marina Germanova (Institute of Biology, Ecology and Agricultural Technologies), result 11 min. 21 sec.
In the team championship, the Institute of Forestry, Mining and Construction Sciences (394 points) became the strongest institute of PetrSU, the Institute of Biology, Ecology and Agricultural Technologies (380 points) took the second place, and the Physico-Technical Institute (356 points).

The organizer of the competition is the Department of Physical Culture, the chief judge N.V. Solovyov.
