PetrSU is the main partner of the project “KARELIANA: a journey across the land of the Karelians”

KROO “Club of Youth Projects and Initiatives” works on the basis of PetrSU with the support of the Presidential Grants Fund.
Within the framework of the project, a design and educational program for university students was carried out, the purpose of which is to get acquainted with the history of the peoples of Karelia, their traditions and customs, the basics of the language.

The project will be implemented in the national regions of the republic: Kalevalsky, Olonetsky, Pryazhinsky. In each district, the project participants will have meetings with representatives of local ethnocultural centers, within which young people will learn the history of the formation and development of the national district, study local museum collections, immerse themselves in cultural life: taste traditional Karelian cuisine, take part in Karelian folk dances, master classes.
