PetrSU is the winner of the competition for inclusive education practices

The final of the I All-Russian Contest of Inclusive Higher Education Practices took place.
The competition was held in two stages, stage I (selection) from March 15 to April 30, 2021. The Expert Commission checked and evaluated the works submitted for the Competition.

15 works in 7 nominations passed to the II stage (final). PetrSU was among the finalists. The final stage was held in a distance format.

The competition was organized and conducted by the non-profit corporate organization “Association of Inclusive Universities” with the active participation of the Resource Educational and Methodological Center for the Education of Disabled People and Persons with Disabilities of the Moscow State Psychological and Pedagogical University.

Practices are understood as programs and technologies used in inclusive higher education.

The All-Russian competition for the practices of inclusive higher education is focused on improving the quality and accessibility of higher education for people with disabilities, on identifying, supporting and further disseminating best practices for teaching and accompanying students with disabilities in educational institutions of higher education, the formation of an inclusive culture as an obligatory component of the development of an inclusive society …

Information about the Competition was posted on the website of the Association of Inclusive Universities, as well as on the websites of educational institutions of higher education – members of the Association. To carry out the organizational events of the Competition, the Organizing Committee of the Competition was formed, which included representatives of universities, the non-profit corporate organization “Association of Inclusive Universities”, employees of resource educational and methodological centers for training people with disabilities and people with disabilities, created on the basis of educational institutions of higher education.

The Expert Council of the Competition included leading scientists and practitioners in the field of inclusive education: Oleg Nikolaevich Smolin, deputy of the State Duma, chairman of the Public Movement “Education for All”, Doctor of Philosophy, Academician of the Russian Academy of Education; Vitaly Vladimirovich Rubtsov, President of the Association of Inclusive Universities, President of MSUPE, Doctor of Psychology, Professor, Academician of the Russian Academy of Education; Stanislav Aleksandrovich Ivanov, President of the All-Russian Society of the Deaf; Natalya Valerievna Krel, Executive Director of the Paradelphic Committee of Russia, General Director of the Parilis Charitable Foundation; Svetlana Nikolaevna Smirnova, Head of the Department of Legal Education and Interaction with Scientific and Educational Organizations of the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation; Elvira Shamilievna Garifullina, head of the “Family and Children” program of the Elena and Gennady Timchenko Charitable Foundation; Tatyana Gennadievna Podushkina, head of the Center for Evidence-Based Social Design, Moscow State University of Psychology and Education.

The final of the I All-Russian competition for the practices of inclusive higher education was opened by V.V. Rubtsov – President of the Association of Inclusive Universities. Vitaly Vladimirovich in his welcoming speech emphasized the importance of the Competition:

Such a competition is being held in Russia for the first time, the boundaries of an event of this scale will further expand outside Russia, we hope that the competition will become international.

Olga Aleksandrovna Denisova, Chairperson of the Organizing Committee of the Competition, Director of the RUMC S ZFD “Cherepovets State University”, Doctor of Pedagogy, Professor, in her address to the participants wished them a successful presentation of their works and supported the proposal of V.V. Rubtsov on expanding the boundaries of the Competition.

Further, experts joined the work, whose attention was presented to the presentations of 15 final programs and technologies of inclusive higher education. All works were evaluated according to the developed criteria in accordance with the Regulations on the I All-Russian competition for the practices of inclusive higher education.
