A local history conference (IX Kravchen readings) “Reserve” Kivach “- 90 years guarding nature: history, achievement and prospects” was held in Kondopoga, in which scientists from PetrSU took part.
In 2021, one of the most famous state nature reserves, the Kivach reserve, celebrates its 90th anniversary. In the city of Kondopoga, a conference of local lore (IX Kravchen readings) “Reserve” Kivach “- 90 years guarding nature: history, achievement and prospects” was held, dedicated to the anniversary of this unique specially protected natural area.
The conference was organized by the Federal State Budgetary Institution “State Natural Reserve” Kivach “and the MU” Central Regional Library named after B.E. Kravchenko “. The conference program included diverse reports on the history of the reserve, its natural features, research carried out on its territory, problems of protection and tourism activities. A number of reports were devoted to the role of the reserve in art and literature.
The conference had an unusual format, and along with the scientists and staff of the reserve, schoolchildren from the city of Kondopoga also took part in it. All reports were held in a warm and cozy atmosphere, organized by the staff of the library. B.E. Kravchenko.
The staff of the Institute of Biology, Ecology and Agricultural Technologies (V.I. Androsova, A.V. Sonina, V.N. Tarasova) took part in the conference with a report. The report reflected the results of long-term studies of lichens on the territory of the Kivach reserve, the history of these studies and prospects. In many ways, these studies took place thanks to the support and assistance of the reserve staff.
