PetrSU provided assistance to the school of the village of Borovoy, Kalevala district
Within the framework of cooperation between PetrSU and the Kalevala national region, as well as the implementation of the development program of the flagship university, the Medical Institute of PetrSU together with the Institute of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism of PetrSU handed over the resuscitation and diagnostic simulator “Vitim – 2-08 U No. 6” for organizing and conducting safety classes life activities, first aid trainings for students of Borovsk secondary school.
The leadership of the Borovsk school of the Kalevala district turned to PetrSU for possible help in equipping the school with a resuscitation and diagnostic simulator. This simulator was absent from school for a long time, which greatly complicated the conduct of practical lessons on life safety.
The team of PetrSU, headed by Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Director of the Medical Institute of PetrSU Alexander Timofeevich Balashov and Ph.D. Director of the Institute of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism of PetrSU Valentina Mikhailovna Kirilina did a great job on the design and transfer of this simulator – the resuscitation and diagnostic simulator “Vitim – 2-08 U No. 6” was brought “to work” in the Borovsk school of the Kalevala national region.

How wonderful it is to have friends! And it’s always a pleasure to receive gifts from friends! Last week, a cardiopulmonary resuscitation simulator “Vitim – 2-08U No. 6” appeared in our school. Petrozavodsk State University gave it to our school. Now, at OBZH lessons, the guys will be able to work out their first aid skills on the simulator. We are sure that such knowledge is necessary for every person. How often life is saved depends not only on the timeliness of first aid, but also on the correctness of actions. And this is sometimes crucial.
