PetrSU starts construction of a track and field arena on the campus on Drevlyanka

PetrSU informs that all the necessary organizational measures and approvals related to the preparation for the construction of the arena have been completed.
The city administration has issued a construction permit, and the Interregional Territorial Administration of the Federal Property Management Agency in the Murmansk Region and the Republic of Karelia has obtained an agreement for a set of green spaces at the construction site. The construction of the arena will be carried out by one of the divisions of the well-known Karelian construction company KSM.

It should be noted that for the first time in the history of Petrozavodsk, a modern indoor track and field arena with a total area of ​​7400 sq.m. This will allow holding sports competitions, organizing the training process in athletics and playing sports not only for students at the Institute of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism and all students of PetrSU, but also for residents of Petrozavodsk and the Republic of Karelia. The arena is planned to be commissioned in the summer of 2022.
