PetrSU students and teacher are winners of the Russian Winter Swimming Championship
In Petrozavodsk, the open Russian winter swimming championship was held, in which more than 370 people from 33 regions of Russia took part.
On March 24-28, the open Russian winter swimming championship was held in Petrozavodsk, in which more than 370 people from 33 regions of Russia took part. At these competitions, as part of the winter swimming team, swimmers from the PetrSU national swimming team participated Alexey Belokon (Institute of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism, 3rd year), Yulia Mikhailova (Institute of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism, 4th year), Pavel Ryndov (Institute mathematics and information technology, 5th year), as well as the coach of the national swimming team, senior teacher of the Department of Physical Culture Lyudmila Valerievna Egorova.
Yulia Mikhailova became a prize-winner at distances: 25 m and 50 m freestyle (2nd place), 25 m butterfly method (3rd place) in the age category 20-29 years old.
The coach of the PetrSU national swimming team, senior lecturer of the Department of Physical Culture Lyudmila Valerievna Egorova at distances: 50 m freestyle, 25 m breaststroke took 3rd place, and at distances of 25 m freestyle and 25 m butterfly method she climbed twice to the second step of the podium.
Yulia Mikhailova and Pavel Ryndov as part of the national team of Karelia took part in the 4x25m freestyle relay and won bronze medals for the team (teams from second to fourth place were located in the interval of 0.15 seconds – everything was decided by touch).
