PetrSU students are invited to a journey across the land of the Karelians
Petrozavodsk University is the main partner of the KROO project “Club of youth projects and initiatives” KARELIANA: a journey across the land of the Karelians, which will be held in March-September 2021.
Within the framework of the project, a project and educational program for university students will be carried out, the purpose of which will be to get acquainted with the history of the peoples of Karelia, their traditions and customs, the basics of the language. The project will be implemented in the national regions of the republic: Kalevalsky, Olonetsky, Pryazhinsky. In each district, the project participants will hold meetings with representatives of local ethnocultural centers, within which young people will learn the history of the formation and development of the national district, study local museum collections, plunge into cultural life: taste traditional Karelian cuisine, take part in Karelian folk dances, master classes.
The organizers of the project include representatives of the Office of Pre-University and Career Guidance (N.Yu. Kuznetsova, A.V. Fetisova), the Department of Baltic-Finnish Philology (senior teacher A.A. Afanasyeva and senior teacher M.V. Kosheleva) and the Office on innovation and production activities (O.Yu. Shliburite).
The project is being implemented with the support of the Presidential Grants Fund.
