PetrSU students Ksenia Pakhomova and Veniamin Timofeev successfully performed at the Championship and the Championship of Russia.
The Championship and the Championship of Russia – the main competition of the country in sports ballroom dancing – took place in Moscow. Over 8 days of competition, more than 5,000 pre-selected athletes entered the floor.

Karelia was represented at the competition by several couples, including students of PetrSU. Ksenia Pakhomova (Institute of Foreign Languages) and Veniamin Timofeev (Institute of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism) became the finalists and took 6th place in the category “adult biathlon”.

This category requires not only high professionalism, but also endurance, because you need to perfectly dance 5 dances of the European and 5 dances of the Latin American program.

For the first time in the history of dance sports in Karelia, our dance couple has reached such heights at the Russian level!
