Physics Wallah (PW) Founder Alakh Pandey conducts on-ground Samvaad to understand educational problems of students across India
Physics Wallah CEO and Founder Alakh Pandey is meeting students through a series of Samvaad in various cities across India to understand the real problems students face and enhance their educational experience. Pandey ensures to take serious notes of students’ feedback and interacts with them across Offline PW Vidyapeeth centres. He visits students in their classrooms and has one-to-one conversations with them. “I like to interact with my students personally and regularly to understand their problems, motivate them, and take their feedback to improve our educational experience.” Pandey has said in past interviews on multiple platforms.
A wave of excitement sweeps through thousands of students during all his Samvaads. As an educator at heart who has won the hearts of millions of students through exceptional teaching methods, he has already visited students in Delhi-NCR, Allahabad, and Indore. He will continue to meet them across India in Offline PW Vidyapeeth Centres. During his recent visits, Pandey discussed topics ranging from ‘how to fight depression and negative thoughts,’ to ‘practising gratitude,’ and emphasized the importance of problem-solving as a crucial skill for today’s youth. He also mentioned that India should focus on Entrepreneurship and build great products that would solve the real problems of Bharat.
What made his recent Indore visit particularly interesting was when he was spotted arriving in a blue auto driven by a female driver. It was revealed that the driver is a 55-year-old woman named Mrs. Rama Tomar. Pandey was intrigued to see a woman of her age working and asked her why, to which she replied, “I don’t want to sit at home and do nothing; I want to work to support my family and set an example for women and girls that we can do anything at any age, and no work is too big or small.”
Impressed by the dedication of Mrs. Rama Tomar, Pandey said, “Such women inspire me every day. My greatest inspiration is my mother, who used to work to support our family, and my sister, who is also working and is independent. We aspire to empower young girls in the country through education so that they are independent and can achieve great things in life. PW is educating girls in 606 out of 766 districts in India”
Alakh Pandey is one of the most loved teachers of India. He started Physics Wallah (PW) as a YouTube Channel in 2016 and later in 2020, with Prateek Maheshwari, founded Physics Wallah Company, which became a unicorn in just 2 years in 2022. Pandey’s focus has been on democratizing education at scale. PW offered courses for a mere Rs 2000-3000 at a time when competitors were offering them in tens of thousands. The platform has more than 35 Million subscribers on its YouTube channels where they upload educational content for free and the children who couldn’t get access to high-quality education are able to benefit from it to pursue academic excellence and unlock their full potential, irrespective of socio-economic barriers.
