PKU co-hosts Ph.D. Workshop on Socialist Eco-civilization and Social-ecological Transformation

Peking: The Fourth Ph.D. Workshop on Socialist Eco-civilization and Social-ecological Transformation was held online from June 25 to June 27. The event was co-hosted by the School of Marxism at Peking University, PKU Graduate School, and Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung.

More than 90 representatives from over 28 universities and institutions at home and abroad attended the webinar and shared their views.

Ten scholars shared their insights about the development of Marxism. Jan Turowski, chief representative of Beijing Representative Office of Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung, analyzed how transformed discourse reflects the transformation and what transformation it reflects. Professor Huan Qingzhi from the School of Marxism at Peking University emphasized that Chinese Marxists should focus on the concept of socialist eco-civilization.

Meanwhile, 16 young scholars delivered speeches and held discussions on the socialist ecological progress with Chinese characteristics.

In the closing ceremoony, Sun Wei, director of the Beijing Representative Office of Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung listed top 5 excellent papers and congratulated on this wonderful Ph.D. workshop.
