Plan for hassle free outward movement of stranded laborers/workers, other persons finalized
Srinagar: In order to finalize plan for hassle free outward movement of stranded laborers/workers and other persons in Jammu and Kashmir, the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Pandurang K Pole, convened a meeting here today.
The Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Sanjeev Verma participated in the meeting through video conference.
The meeting discussed various issues related to the outward movement of these stranded persons in threadbare and it was informed that all necessary arrangements are being made for smooth, safe and convenient outward movement of all such desirous stranded people to their homes.
The Deputy Commissioners of Ramban, Reasi, Udhampur and Anantnag who attended the meeting through video Conference were directed to ensure all requisite facilities well in advance so that these stranded persons do not face any inconvenience during travel period.
The Div Com Kashmir stressed on authorities SRTC, Labour and other concerned Departments to work in coordination and work in tandem for smooth and safe journey of these people.
He also laid stress on sanitization and fumigation of all such transit points besides buses through which these stranded persons are to be carried to railway station.
Div Com Jammu also directed the officers of his jurisdiction to gear up their men and machinery for the purpose.
Among others the meeting was attended by Additional Commissioner Kashmir, Regional Transport Officer, Kashmir, SSP, PCR Srinagar, SSP Traffic Rural, Kashmir, General Manager SRTC, Kashmir, Deputy Labour Commissioner, Kashmir.
