Plantation drive held at Sunderbani

 

RAJOURI, JUNE 24: Sunderbani Forest Range today organised a plantation drive here at Government High School Rah Salyote to mark the celebration of the foundation day of the Forest Department and its 130 years of service.

Medicinal and fruit plants were planted in the school premises during the drive which witnessed participation of civil Society members, tehsil administration and Forest Department.

Tehsildar Sunderabani, Ravi Shanker, appreciated the efforts of the Forest Department especially in combating the forest fires. He expressed his thanks to the Forest Department for making him a part of such a noble cause. He also requested the villagers to help the forest department in countering the forest fires as well as protection of green gold.

Retired DFO, N.C Sharma, highlighted the value of trees in our life.

Rakesh Verma thanked all the guests who were present in the commemoration ceremony and also requested the participants to help the forest department in controlling the forest fires as well as protection of Forest. He thanked the persons who helped the department in countering the forest fires.

Sub Inspector of Police station Sunderbani, Kunal; Sarpanch Rah, Baba Ditta; Bharat Bhushan, Headmaster Government High School Rah Salyote; Doulat Ram , Nidesh Khajuria Distt Organising Secretary Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad Sunderbani, Sham Lal Numberdar, Rajinder Dev Sharma, B.O Devak, Manoj Sharma Deputy Inspector FPF, a large number of villagers and staff of Sunderbani Range participated in the plantation drive.

The whole event was conducted under the guidance of B. Mohanadas, Conservator of Forests West Circle Rajouri and Suresh Manda IFS, Divisional Forest Officer Nowshera Forest Division.
