Plantation drive held to mark Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign

ALIGARH : A plantation drive was undertaken at the Hadi Hasan Hall of the Aligarh Muslim University under the national campaign, “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam”.

The Provost of the Hall, Prof. M. Athar Ansari said that a variety of plants were planted under the drive in the hall premises, including the plants of Altamas, Kadam and Alistonia, with an objective to spread the forestation area in the university to add to a sustainable environment.

He said that the plantation drive, aimed at creating awareness and spreading the message of saving our planet, witnessed the participation of Prof Rafiuddin, DSW, Prof M Wasim Ali, Proctor, Prof Ali Nawaz Zaidi, Deputy Proctor, Prof Nabiullah, Deputy Proctor, Dr Masood H Khan, Asstt Proctor, Prof Anwar Shahzad, Dept of Botany, Prof Salman Hameed, MIC Electricity, Dr Arshad Hussain, NSS Coordinator, Dr Ali Jafar Abedi, University Health Officer, Mr Rao Faraz, University Polytechnic, Wardens Dr M Salman Shah, Dr M Firoz Alam, Dr Abbas Waseem, and hall residents and staff.
