Plantation drive held under “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign

ALIGARH  : The Department of Petroleum Studies, Aligarh Muslim University organized a plantation drive under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign, which aimed at enhancing green cover and promoting environmental sustainability on the department’s premises.

The Chairman of the Department, Dr Najam Sardar emphasized the significance of such drives in combating drastic climate change.

“Planting trees is one of the most impactful actions we can take to safeguard our planet’s future. Each sapling represents hope, growth, and our responsibility towards a sustainable tomorrow,” she remarked.

The Coordinator of the event, Dr Moina Athar said that the students and faculty members participated in the drive in a large number.

“We are thrilled by the enthusiasm shown by everyone involved. This campaign not only resonates with our love and respect for nature but also symbolizes our commitment to creating a greener world. The trees we planted today are the seeds of a healthier environment for future generations,” he added.
