Plantation drive held under Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign
ALIGARH : The girl residents of the Bibi Fatima Hall, Aligarh Muslim University took part in a special plantation drive organized by the Hall administration under the nationwide “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign.
The Provost of the Hall, Dr. Ghazala Yasmin, along with the students, wardens Ms. Iram Arman, Ms. Hira Javed and Dr. S. Asad Ali, and other administrative staff, planted saplings on the hall premises, with an objective to contribute to the green cover, and reinforce the spirit of honoring mothers through ecological responsibility.
Dr Yasmin emphasized the crucial role of trees in combating climate change, promoting biodiversity, and sustaining a healthier planet. She said that each sapling planted today contributes to a greener future, symbolizing a commitment to preserving the environment for future generations. ‘Through such efforts, we not only enrich our surroundings but also cultivate a lasting legacy of environmental stewardship,’ she added.
