Plantation drive held under the theme Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam

ALIGARH  : The Central Automobile Workshop (CAW) and University Filling Station, Aligarh Muslim University, in association with the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), organized a plantation drive to create awareness about forest conservation and urge the people to work for preserving the environment.

Mr. Manish Sharma, Manager, Institutional Business, Marketing Division, IOCL, Agra, inaugurated the plantation drive and participated in planting saplings in the premises of the CAW and in its vicinity, along with Dr. Wasifullah Khan, Officiating Member-in-Charge, CAW, Dr. Mohd. Yunus Khan, Associate Member-in-Charge and Mr. Md. Fozailuddin Tarique, Superintendent, CAW.

Dr. Wasifullah Khan said that the programme themed as “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam”, was organized as part of the Van Mahotsav Week and Swachhata Pakhwada-2024.

He said that the plantation drive was organized with a focus on preserving greenery in the CAW premises.

Dr. Mohd. Yunus Khan stressed the importance of trees in human life. He also spoke about cleanliness and its importance in maintaining hygiene for a healthy life.
