PM Modi expresses optimism as Gujarat signs MoU with Vedanta & Foxconn Group to set up semiconductor and display FAB manufacturing unit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the MoU signed between the Gujarat Government and the Vedanta-Foxconn Group for the manufacture of semiconductor will create a significant impact to boost economy and jobs.

In a tweet, Mr. Modi said, the MoU of 1.54 lakh crore rupees, is an important step towards India’s semi-conductor manufacturing ambitions. He said, this will create a huge ecosystem for ancillary industries and help the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.
