PM Modi to formally inaugurate Kashi-Tamil Samagam on November 19 at Amphitheater Ground of Banaras Hindu University
Kashi Tamil sangamam has started in Varanasi and the first batch of the delegates from Tamilnadu will reach the Varanasi station tonight. Delegates will be given a rousing welcome at Varanasi railway station. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will formally inaugurate the samagam tomorrow at the amphitheater ground of Banaras Hindu University.
Delegates from 12 different categories will come to Kashi from Tamilnadu during this one-month period and interact with their counterparts.
Preparations are in full swing at MP theater ground of Banaras Hindu University where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will formally inaugurate the Kashi Tamil sangam tomorrow. Many stalls of Tamil cuisine, handicraft, handloom, toys, literature and other articles have been set up at BHU.
Union Minister of state for information and broadcasting L Murugan will also reach Varanasi tomorrow morning.
Union Minister of Education Dharmendra Pradhan today visited the house of the family members of famous Tamil poet Subramaniam Bharati. He met with K V Krishnan who is 96-year-old nephew of Mahakavi Subramaniam Bharathiyar. One of the greatest Tamil literary figures of all time, Mahakavi Bharathiyar’s home is on the banks of Ganga at Hanuman Ghat area which is also called mini Tamilnadu of Varanasi because of the dense population of people from Tamil origin. Nine Adheenams or highly ranked sheers of Tamil Nadu reached Kashi this afternoon. After Darshan, they were felicitated by Kashi Vidwat Parishath, Sampurnananda Sanskrit University and Veda Scholars of Kashi.
