PMSSS: DDC Kishtwar reviews preparation for registration
Kishtwar: District Development Commissioner, Rajinder Singh Tara today chaired a meeting of the Officers of Education department to review the arrangements for registration of the students of this district under Pradhan Mantri Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS).
The meeting was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pawan Parihar, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Dr Amir Hussain, Chief Education officer, Dr Kuldeep Sharma, District Education and Planning Officer, Omesh Khar, Principals of all the higher secondary schools of the District among others.
At the outset, the ACR briefed the meeting about the various aspects of the PMSSS and also highlighted eligibility criteria and the areas where the schemes could be targeted to benefit the students. He further added that every year fresh scholarships are given to J&K Students to pursue undergraduate studies outside the UT of J&K for improving their skills by providing access to education.
The DDC directed the CEO to ensure the Cent percent registration of all the eligible students of the district who have passed their 12th standard examination and who are desirous of pursuing the higher education.
He further impressed upon CEO Kishtwar to aware the student community about this scheme through various mediums so that they could get the financial assistance in the form of scholarships to pursue higher studies.
It was informed that the registration process has started from today and it will be open up to July 31 2020 and registration could be done on the linkhttp://www.aicte-jk-scholariship-gov.in.
The DDC asked the CEO to facilitate all the necessary arrangements for the preparation of the documents viz. Domicile certificate, income certificate and category certificate of all the eligible students on priority by personally monitoring the progress in the offices of tehsildar concerned.
The ACR was asked to supervise the whole process and ensure the hassle free registration of students for this scheme.
