Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile: Guiding letter: Music and culture
As the first anniversary of radio broadcasts of the new life of Radio Beethoven to the forward of the UC, the rector Ignacio Sánchez reveals some important aspects of its growth and quality. “As we took on the challenge of resuming the Radio Beethoven project, we were unaware of the serious pandemic we would face. For this reason, it has been a time when since college we have been able to deliver good music, culture and company. We are grateful for the great reception of this musical proposal that contributes to the national culture ”, he points out in a letter published by La Tercera.
“The audiences of Radio Beethoven have increased, with a greater presence of younger age groups and of various sectors of the citizenry, since the love for good music is in all sectors of our country”, affirms the rector Sánchez. Photo: César Cortés
“A year ago, when from the university we resumed the broadcasts of Radio Beethoven , we decided to return to contribute culture through good music, both classical, as well as its different expressions. At the 40th anniversary of its inception and now on this first anniversary of this new history, it is important to highlight some aspects.
In the first place, the quality of the technical and professional radio team stands out, which remains at the head of the project. With the presence of UC, new programs have been started under the station’s traditional lines. Tradition and innovation have been combined for the benefit of our auditing public, through the website, we await comments to improve.
