Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile: UC 2022 International Education Summit will be held online
For the second consecutive year, the instance will bet on the online format to discuss contingency in the academic and educational field. The meeting, which will have national and international representatives who are experts in the area, will take place between January 10 and 13, 2022.
Education is one of the sectors that has been seriously affected by the coronavirus pandemic. According to data from UNICEF, about 168 million children were affected by the closure of their schools due to Covid-19.
How to face this and other situations of national and world education are part of the objectives to be discussed in the next version of the # SummitEducaciónUC, which will be held from January 10 to 13, 2022. “We have called this version” A post-pandemic look or with a pandemic ”, since perhaps we have to get used to this environment,” says Patricio Donoso, Pro-rector of Institutional Management and President of the International Education Summit.

The International Education Summit is divided into two major activities: The XI School Management and Leadership Conference and the 18th Higher Education Management Conference.
The School Management and Leadership Conference will complete eleven years of trajectory in its next version on January 10 and 11 , with the demand of school leaders in the pandemic being one of its main focuses. “They have faced demanding and challenging situations that have to do with global tensions,” explains Paulo Volante, Academic Director of the Conference and Professor at the UC Faculty of Education.
On the other hand, the Higher Education Management Conference will be held on January 12 and 13 , thus completing its eighteenth version. Andrés Bernasconi, director of this activity, affirms that, although the pandemic is one of the issues to be addressed, there is also a strong interest in the needs of the students. “We seek to resolve an issue that has been worrying us for a long time in different areas and whose ultimate goal is the comprehensive training of the student,” argues the academic.
The instance will have the presence of different professionals from the educational world, both national and international. In addition, the event will have the collaboration of the University of Pennsylvania and the Inter-American Educational Leadership Network (RILE) .
Main activities
International conferences : The main trends and challenges in school and higher education will be presented by international experts from Asia, America and Europe.
Presentations : In this space for collaboration and learning, participants will be able to access video capsules on demand.
Directors and professionals from the school and higher education fields will share innovative projects and their results, experiences in educational management, inclusion, leadership practices, inclusion and academic support, among others.
Virtual café : This instance was developed to meet professionals and managers who work in common areas. Through informal conversations organized thematically, participants will share reflections and experiences.
