Poonch: 5 youth provided vehicles under MUKIN Scheme; DC hands over keys to beneficiaries

 

POONCH : Deputy Commissioner, Inderjeet today handed over keys of commercial vehicles to five MUMKIN scheme beneficiaries here at a brief ceremony held in the District Employment and counselling Centre.

“To facilitate un- employed youth earn a sustainable livelihood in the transport sector, 05 small commercial vehicles were provided to the beneficiaries under Mumkin scheme of Mission Youth programme” said Deputy Director Employment, Mohammad Rafiq.

He informed that the unemployed youth are provided sustainable livelihood in the shape of small commercial vehicles with a total 20 percent subsidy on the on road price provided jointly by Mission Youth, J&K Government and Manufacturers.

The DC directed that all the NPA beneficiaries under the Mission Youth schemes may be counselled with elite sectors. “The unemployed youth also need to be encouraged to take benefits of other self employment schemes. For this, there is a need to spread mass awareness so that maximum benefits percolate down to the remotest areas of the district” he said.
