POONCH  : The District Level Task Force (DLTF) on Mission youth today approved Mission Youth Plan 2022-23 at its meeting chaired by District Development Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet.

The plan, among other things envisages skill enhancement/development of 6500 identified unemployed youth of different youth clubs.

The DLTF also deliberated on the targets set to be achieved under the Livelihood generation scheme of mission youth.

The plan targets to benefit 150 youth under MUMKIN-livelihood generation scheme, 150 under spurring entrepreneurship initiative, 300 under Tejaswani scheme meant to encourage female entrepreneurship, 150 for SAHAYTA program, 10 for young innovators program, 20 for sector specific scheme for dental professionals, 10 for Rise together program.

The meeting further decided that all other departments who are implementing different livelihood generation programs of the government shall ensure 40 percent benefit of these programmes to members of the youth clubs in the age group of 18-35 years.

Further all departments, within 2 days, shall notify a Nodal Contact point for information dissemination, Q&A and feedback related to all departmental activities especially self employment schemes for the awareness of the members of the youth clubs of the district. Besides, all departments shall notify the monthly activity calendar for conducting activities at each youth club.

Regarding young innovators programme, a Committee under the chairmanship of Principal Government Degree College Poonch shall be constituted for the screening and finalization of proposals.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Abdul Sattar, DSEO, officers of Agriculture, Horticulture, Handicraft, Handloom, FCS&CA Department, Information, Animal Husbandry, Employment, Lead Bank, MSME, Education, Medical departments.
