Poonch: Weekly Block Diwas Program held at Block Lishana; DDC addresses scores of Public issues

 

POONCH: District Development Commissioner, Poonch, Inder Jeet today listened to public issues here at the weekly Block Diwas programme held at Block lassana.

The Sarpanchs, Panchs of the block & people in large numbers interacted with the officers and officials of different departments and apprised them of the issues, demands and developmental needs in their respective areas.

During the outreach programme, the locals and PRI members projected the demands of their respective areas including better Medicare facility, improvement in water and power supply scenario, and other specific issues. They sought completion of all ongoing road projects, compensation of Hari Budda road, installation of electric meters, fixed Rs 150 power fare for BPL households, re-tendering of PHE lift scheme Shiendara, payment to contractors after certification of PRI members, Ration depot for Seri Chawana, compound wall for HSS Sari Chowana, fixation of sumo and bus fare; control on overloading on tempos, sheep sub centre for Seri Chowana, Ambulance for PHC Seri- Chowana and Seri- Khawaja, MG-NREGA material payment, toilet complex facilities for PHC Seri Khawaja, Up gradation of middle school of Hari- Buddha, bank branch for Hari-buddha, ATM machine for Lassana, protection wall near high school Seri- Khawaja over Suran river bank, Library for HSS Seri-Khawaja, new road from Hari Budda to Jabbi-Toti, early completion of PHE Kalai lift scheme, awareness camps for promotion of Agriculture and allied departments schemes

Responding to the demands, the DDC assured the public that all their genuine issues would be addressed in a time bound manner. He directed the officers to work with utmost dedication and integrity so that equitable development of all Panchayats is ensured in the district and people do not face any problems.

The officers/officials of all line departments noted the demands and grievances of the locals to ensure redress of the same in minimum possible time.

The District Development Commissioner directed the RDD to take up construction of toilets at PHC Seri Khawaja.

The Deputy Commissioner said that the rates of Minor Mineral have already been fixed by the District administration and people should get material at reasonable rates.

He advised the concerned officers and local social activists for dissemination of information among the people.

DC also directed Lead Bank Manager to start a mass awareness programme in the area in collaboration with self employment generation departments.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the education department to start small community classes of 20 students within a week.

Regarding the opening of bank branches, the DDC informed that codal formalities for opening up of bank branches have been fulfilled and very soon the bank branches shall be opened up.

Deputy Commissioner also directed the Jal Shakti department for cleaning of water reservoir/Tanks and providing clean drinking water to the people.

Speaking further , Deputy Commissioner sensitize the public about Online Land records information system i.e; Aapki Zameen Aapki Nigrani recently launched by Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, he said anyone can search their land records easily and view copies of scanned data online on CIS Portal-http://landrecords.jk.gov.in/.

DDC Member, Rukasana Kouser, BDC Chairperson, CEO Tourism, Dr. Mohammad Tanveer; Chief Horticulture Officer, ALC/DIO, Abid Hussain Shah, Satvir Singh; CMO, Dr.G.A Malik; District Social Welfare Officer, Shakeel Ahmed; Executive Engineers of different departments, besides district & sectoral officers and prominent citizens were also present.
