Positivity rate declines significantly in the district: DC Kupwara
Kupwara: Reiterating his appeal, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din today urged the people of the district to religiously follow the Covid Appropriate Behaviour (CAB) and attend nearest vaccination centers for timely inoculation against Covid-19 pandemic.
The DC said this while addressing media persons here at Kupwara.
He said the recovery rate has increased upto 89 percent whereas, the positivity rate has significantly come down from 9.5 percent to 5.33 percent in the district. He congratulated all those persons involved in Covid-19 mitigation efforts for their hard work and good result.
Giving details, the DC said that the number of total positive cases recorded in the district is 12735 whileas, the number of recovered patients is 11323. He said the district witnessed 148 deaths since the beginning of Covid-19.
Regarding containment and red zone management, the DC said that the total number of active red zones is 76 where 507 cases are active.
