Poster-making, slogan-writing, poetry and quiz competitions at Dept of Pathology

 

Aligarh : Junior resident, Dr Kirti Rajput won the poster-making competition and senior resident, Dr Ankita was declared the winner of the slogan-writing competition on ‘Non-violence is the weapon of the strong, Swachch Bharat-Swasth Bharat and 75 Glorious years of independence’ of the Department of Pathology, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) held to mark the nation-wide Swachchata Abhiyan, Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav and birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

Junior resident, Dr Avadh Sharma won the poetry-competition for his poem on Mahatma Gandhi. Meanwhile, the team of third-year students, Dr Saqib Ahmed and Dr Sadaf Abbas won the quiz contest and the team comprising teachers, Prof S H Arif and Prof Mohd Jaseem Hassan and senior residents, Dr Ankita and Dr Zeeshan finished as runners-up.

In the welcome address, Prof S H Arif (Chairman, Department of Pathology) spoke about the struggle and contributions of Mahatma Gandhi and importance he gave to cleanliness.

Prof Veena Maheshwari, Prof Nishat Afroz and Prof Kafil Akhtar felicitated the winners with certificates and saplings. Dr Bushra Siddiqui conducted the programme.
