Pradhan Mantri National Apprenticeship Mela organised at Govt ITI Jammu
JAMMU: Directorate of Skill Development Department on Monday organized “Pradhan Mantri National Apprenticeship Mela” at Government Industrial Training Institute Jammu to create awareness among youth and Establishments about Apprenticeship Scheme.
S. Santhimanalan, Regional Director/Central Apprenticeship Advisor, J&K and Ladakh; Sudershan Kumar, State Apprenticeship Advisor JK(UT) and Director SDD J&K ; Farooq Ahmed Khan Zonal Apprenticeship Advisor; Rajendra Kumar, AAA Nodal ITI Jammu District/Deputy Director SDD; Vivek Sagar- Incharge Apprenticeship Scheme J&K; Rajesh Gupta- Superintendent Govt. ITI for Women Jammu and R . S. Pura; Rajesh Kumar Banotra – Nodal Officer-Apprenticeship scheme ITI Jammu were present on the occasion of the Apprenticeship workshop .
The Apprenticeship mela was e-Inaugurated by Sudershan Kumar- State Apprenticeship Advisor JK(UT) & Director Skill Development Department J&K.
Er. Rajesh Banotra- Vice Principal Govt. ITI Jammu welcomed guests, industry partners/representatives of industries and fresher apprentice trainees to join Apprenticeship Mela in the institute.
Representatives of More & More Care, Coolex, Airtel Payment Bank, Vaid electronics, Kiwi Enterprises, Bayal Tardes, R. K. Electronics, Emcure Pharma, Pice Computers, Choudhary Electronics etc also attended the camp.
Er. Rajendra Kumar (Deputy Director, SDD), AAA – Nodal ITI Jammu highlighted the achievements under the Apprentice Scheme recorded by Nodal ITI Jammu. He advised establishments and trainees to register themselves on Apprenticeship portal to avail the benefits of this National Apprenticeship Mela. He thanked the establishment for their support in providing opportunities to the candidates in this Apprenticeship Mela.
Joint Director Skill Development Department Jammu Er. Farooq Ahmed Khan highlighted the achievements / activities achieved by the department in the apprenticeship scheme and requested all the industry partners to boost the Apprenticeship Training Scheme.
Vivek Sagar- Incharge Apprenticeship Scheme J&K and Avnil Mahajan, Coordinator Apprenticeship Mela Jammu District gave a PowerPoint presentation and highlighted the recent up-dation in Apprentice Scheme.
As many as 20 contracts were signed by the trainees and approved by the AAA Jammu District on the spot. All dignitaries presented Apprenticeship contracts to the registered apprentice’s.
S. Santhimanalan- Regional Director/Central Apprenticeship Advisor, J&K and Ladakh highlighted the benefits of the apprenticeship scheme and opportunities provided by the Govt of India. He urged the establishments registered in the J&K UT and advised the representative of industries to accommodate ITI passouts/trainees under the apprenticeship Act.
Sudershan Kumar, Director, Skill Development Department J&K appreciated the efforts of Rajendra Kumar – AAA Nodal ITI Jammu for benefitting youth of the district through apprenticeship scheme. He advised all the staff members/ industrialists to enable the youth to earn their livelihood and asked industrialists to develop a relationship with ITIs to register trainees as apprentices.
Er. Nazir Ahmed Molvi- Senior Faculty, ITI Jammu highlighted the achievements of ITI Jammu in making this Apprenticeship Scheme successful in Jammu district and assured support in future also.
