Prashasan Gaon Ki Aur: Awareness Camp under SAMPAN project organised at Gulabgarh Paddar

KISHTWAR : District Administration Kishtwar, under the overall supervision of Deputy Commissioner Dr Devansh Yadav and under the guidance of Additional District Development Commissioner Sham Lal- today conducted a one-day SAMPAN Awareness Camp under the initiative ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Aur’ to promote the e-Governance system, besides to increase the penetration of awareness among the farmers of Paddar sub-division about various agriculture and agri allied welfare schemes and Youth Mission schemes.

Tehsildar Paddar Satish Rana, District Agriculture Officer, field functionaries of agriculture and allied departments, Locals, farmers besides the PRIs of the panchayats of SD- Paddar participated in the programme.

The programme was coordinated by Nodal Officer SAMPAN /Chief Agriculture Officer Amjad Hussain Malik and closely managed by District Agriculture Officer Satish Kumar Sharma

Speaking on the occasion, the speakers called for the saturation of Agriculture and Allied sectors schemes through active participation of PRIs & Self Help Groups.

Pertinent to mention that the project SAMPAN aims coverage of all schemes of Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, NRLM, fisheries and other departments through awareness campaigns, capacity building, skill development, soft & hard interventions.

During the camp, the participants were informed about initiatives taken by the District Administration and the government including MUMKIN, Tejswani, PMEGP and others to enable youth to start their own units.

The area wise potential trades like tourism, production and sale of agro-based products and innovations to scale up the traditional trades which would provide benefits to a maximum number of people were also highlighted during the camp.

The speakers also reiterated the Govt’s commitment for providing the designated services at the doorstep of people, besides educating them about various online services rolled out by various departments under e-governance initiative.

The officers/officials of line departments educated and made aware the farmers and general people about the Agriculture and allied sector schemes in convergence under Project SAMPAN.

The concerned district officers and field functionaries urged the participants especially youth to come forward and avail the benefits of Agriculture and allied sectors schemes as the District has tremendous scope of Agriculture and allied sectors.

Besides, during the camp, the participants were acquainted with the centrally sponsored schemes meant for the uplift of farmers and orchardists.
