Pre –Institution Mediation & Settlement; DLSA Udhampur hosts awareness program for students of GHSS Kud

UDHAMPUR : Following the Common Minimum Programme provided by J&K Legal Services Authority, and under the Chairmanship of Chairman District Legal Services Authority Udhampur, Y.P. Bourney and overall Supervision of Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Udhampur, Rajni Sharma, a Legal Awareness Programme on Micro Legal Literacy and Pre –Institution Mediation & Settlement was organised today at Government Higher Secondary School Kud by District Legal Services Authority Udhampur in collaboration with the management of the host school.

The Resource persons of the Programme were Panel Lawyer Advocate Balwan Singh and Advocate A.S Katoch. The programme was attended by the Students, Principal, teacher and School Staff.

The Resource persons highlighted the importance of Settlement of disputes at pre institution stage. The resource persons encouraged the gathering to settle their disputes out of the court as the Indian Judicial System is over burdened with litigations.

Two students of the school Rajni Sharma and Shilpa Devi also spoke on the subject.

The Secretary DLSA Rajni Sharma thanked the participants for participating in the Legal Awareness Programme and urged the general masses to avail the services of Legal services Institutions for settlement of their disputes through Mediation.
