Pre-placement talk organized
ALIGARH : The Training and Placement Office (General), Aligarh Muslim University organized a pre-placement talk on “Teach for India” at Women’s College, AMU.
Dr. Mansoor Alam Siddiqui (TPO, Women’s College) said that the Teach for India Fellowship is an opportunity for India’s brightest and most promising youth from the country’s best universities and workplaces to serve as full-time teachers to children from low-income communities in some of the nation’s most under-resourced schools.
In his interaction with the students, Dr. Somyadeep Chatterjee, Recruitment Manager, TFI Fellowship, shared ideas about the importance of the programme and the process of applying for it. He urged the students to enhance their skills to help youth in the education sector. He urged the socio-economically challenged students to acquire skills that help them become more confident and adorn leadership horizons.
He said the TFI fellowship accentuates the vision, “one day every child will attain an excellent education”, and promotes the mission “to build a moment of leaders to eliminate education inequality”.
He explained the registration process for the TFI fellowship which includes a two-year training for Teach for India programme, impacting lives and the leadership development process through experimental learning in TFI camps.
The final-year undergraduate students of Women’s College attended the talk.
