President Droupadi Murmu has said that in the atmosphere of discord of wars, the world community is looking towards India for a solution. She said, in an era of uncertainty, along with protecting its national interests, India is also playing the role of a harbinger of peace in the world.
Mrs. Murmu was addressing the programme after launching a National Campaign on ‘RISE-Rising India through Spiritual Empowerment’, organised by Brahma Kumaris at Abu Road this evening. She Said, our country is active in building a world order based on spirituality and morality. Mrs. Murmu noted that spirituality is the only beam of light that can show the right path to the entire humanity. The country will have to make use of both science and spirituality while moving forward the Golden India of 2047 in Amrit Kaal, she added. Ms. Murmu emphasised that our aim is that India should become a knowledge superpower. This knowledge superpower should be used for sustainable development, social harmony, and lasting peace in the world, she added.
The President said, that the conservation of the environment is also a form of spiritual empowerment. She mentioned that the interrelationship between environment and spirituality is not a new thing for our country. We have been worshiping trees, mountains, and rivers for centuries, she said. To bring peace to life, the environment has to be protected and India has taken important initiatives to face the challenge of climate change, she noted.
The President is on a two-day visit to Rajasthan. She will grace the inauguration of the 18th National Jamboree of the Bharat Scouts and Guides at Rohat in the Pali district tomorrow.
