Problems of Satpura Tiger Reserve Hoshangabad’s displaced must be solved on priority – CM Chouhan

Bhopal : Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched the software-website of the Forest Department https://geoportal.mp.gov.in/forestnoc. Through this software website, people wishing to establish new industries, factories and employment-oriented establishments or activities on non-forest land beyond the restricted limit on forest land, can apply without going to any office and get non-forest land certificate. Forest Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah and Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains were present on the occasion.

It was informed at the meeting that the land investigation will be done automatically with the help of satellite data and geographic information system. If it is possible to make desired changes on the land as per the Acts and Rules, then its certificate will be issued automatically. No human intervention will be required anywhere by the applicant or government official-employee except under exceptional circumstances. This will accelerate development. The public will also get relief from frequent visits to the offices and approval of nastis. At the same time, without errors, environmental protection will be strengthened.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan instructed to solve the problems of persons displaced from forest villages of Satpura Tiger Reserve Hoshangabad and provide them basic facilities. He said that all the basic facilities should be provided in the land where the displaced have been accommodated. The Chief Minister also held discussion about providing additional amount by increasing the compensation amount given to the displaced earlier. He said that the displaced are our people. Forest department and district administration should provide basic facilities together.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that a scheme should be implemented to increase employment opportunities related to forests along with conservation of forests and environment. Employment opportunities can be enhanced by developing many areas like forest produce, tourism, etc. Principal Secretary Forest Shri Ashok Varnwal, P.C.C.F. Wildlife Shri Alok Kumar, A.P.C.C.F. Shri Sanjay Shukla, Field Director Satpura Tiger Reserve Shri L. Krishnamurthy, Additional Secretary Forest Shri Atul Mishra etc. were present in the meeting.
