Proctor Office of Aligarh Muslim University issues guidelines for exhibition visit

Aligarh: As the annual fair, ‘State Industrial and Agricultural Exhibition, Aligarh’ is set to begin on February 5, the Proctor Office of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) categorically asked students to follow all preventive measures for Covid-19 containment.

The list of guidelines issued by the Proctor Office stated that it is a must for all students visiting the Exhibition to wear masks and maintain social distancing as notified by the Government of India.

Prof Mohd Wasim Ali (Proctor) in the notice has also urged students to carry their university identity cards while visiting the exhibition. Male students have been asked to wear black Sherwanis with white pyjamas.

Since the Proctorial Camp at the Exhibition Ground will close at 10 pm daily, students have also been asked to leave by that time.

AMU students attending programmes in the Krishnanjali, Kohinoor and Muktakash halls have been urged to confine themselves in areas earmarked for University students and the Lal Taal, Hullar Bazar, Hindolas, Nautankees and places conducting variety shows are kept out of bounds for students, further stated the notice.

AMU has also asked students to follow traffic rules on their way to the Exhibition Ground. “They (students) should not hold each other’s hands while walking in the Exhibition premises”, mentioned the notice adding that students are requested to follow crowd movement arrangement and to cooperate with on duty police personnel and the proctorial team.

“Dignity, sincerity and politeness are some of the legacies of AMU students and the same shall be maintained. The students found flouting the instructions shall be liable to be dealt with as per AMU Students’ Conduct and Discipline Rules, 1985”, stated the Proctor Office notice.
