Prodigy Education Announces the Winners of ‘Round the World with Ed’ Tournament

New Delhi: Prodigy Education, a pioneer in integrated game based learning solutions and a leading Canadian edtech player, today announced the winners of its 2nd edition of its Annual Tournament called ‘Round the World with Ed.’ The 5-weeks long Annual Tournament observed the participation of over 70,000 students, across 500 Prodigy Education partnered Schools in India. With the declaration of results, the spotlight was clearly on the state of Karnataka that performed well and scored the 1st rank in being the Champion School, Teacher Winner and Student categories.

Collectively in the all virtual competition, students solved over 5 million problems in 5 weeks from Grade 1-8. Aditi Public School in Bengaluru and Anikethana Vidya Mandira in Tumkur secured the first position and won laurels. The students and teachers were lauded with certificates and prizes like iPads, Tablets and Laptop. The objective behind the tournament was to provide an innovative platform for all three – schools, teachers and students to come together and have an enjoyable experience through the virtual playroom of the competition.

As a part of the tournament, students had to practice math in the playroom of Prodigy Education where teachers had to set up assignments aligned to their curriculum to help Ed travel across 5 different countries in 5 weeks. The students who covered these destinations by answering the most number of Math questions won the game.
