Prof. (Dr.) Satish Modh joins Somaiya Vidyavihar University as Pro Vice Chancellor
Prof. (Dr.) Satish Modh brings years of experience and expertise, having served as the Professor and Director of Vivekanand Education Society Institute of Management, Mumbai for 10 years. His roles at NMIMS University, Mumbai, The Aeronautical Society of India (Mumbai branch), Air India Aircraft Engineers Association, and Air India, show the vast range of his experience in key strategic positions.
In 2001, Prof. Modh’s mission to Gujarat following the earthquake inspired him to author several influential books on disaster management. He also wrote the widely acclaimed Discover the Arjuna in You, based on the teachings of the Gita, and developed a psychometric test grounded in the Gita’s Triguna concept to help individuals understand their true nature and leadership style.
Prof. Modh’s expertise in disaster management, business ethics, and leadership has earned him international recognition. He has been a speaker at prestigious institutions like the University of Southern California and Michigan State University, and his work has been honored with awards such as the Outstanding Reviewer Award at the Academy of Management conference in Boston in 2019 and the Dewang Mehta Award for outstanding contribution to education in 2014.
