Prof Jamal Ahmad Khan, Chairman, Department of Wildlife Sciences, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has been appointed as the Estate Officer (Gazetted)

 

Aligarh : Prof Jamal Ahmad Khan, Chairman, Department of Wildlife Sciences, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has been appointed as the Estate Officer (Gazetted) for a period of two years.

He will function from the office in the Old Building at the Faculty/ Department of Law.

Prof Jamal was a Member of the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA), Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, Government of India from 2006 to 2009 during which he guided and advised the NTCA with new strategies and programs for tiger protection and conservation.

He advised the Government of Uttar Pradesh in wildlife conservation across different protected areas of the state as a Member, State Wildlife Advisory Board, Government of Uttar Pradesh (2011 to 2012).

Prof Jamal is also a member of Uttar Pradesh Tiger Protection Society and IUCN Cat Specialist Group.

He has served as the Officer-on-Special Duty (Development), AMU for four terms from 2012 to 2020.
