Prof. Markus Venzin appointed as EHL Group’s new CEO

 

 

Lausanne  – EHL Group, the global reference in hospitality education, business solutions and innovation, announces new CEO Markus Venzin to take office in 2022, setting clear focus on academic excellence and dedication to innovation.

The Chairwoman of the Board of Directors (EHL Holding SA) and the Board of Trustees (EHL Foundation), Dr Carole Ackermann announced today the appointment of Prof. Markus Venzin as Chief Executive Office for EHL Group, who will take over the helm from Prof. Michel Rochat after his departure in 2022.

Markus Venzin is an expert on growth strategies with a focus on innovation and corporate entrepreneurship. Born in Chur and raised in Switzerland where he obtained his PhD in Strategy and Organization at the University of St Gallen, he is currently Professor of Global Strategy and Dean of Innovation at Università Bocconi in Milan. In his long experience as professor, management consultant, speaker and entrepreneur, Markus has learned to apply research results to business issues and innovative teaching methods. In 2017 he co-founded the Venture Builder Corporate Hangar in Milan and since holds the position of its CEO.

 

In 2022, as EHL celebrates its 129-year anniversary, the Group plans to continue to develop its academic portfolio supporting lifelong learning opportunities from vocational and professional courses, to new Masters programs and executive education. Carole Ackermann adds: “Markus’s experience in academic development will be a great asset to further strengthen EHL’s offer, including new ventures underway in digital education. In addition, we look forward to his expertise in innovation to reinforce our growing startup incubator and Innovation Village, supporting the future of the hospitality industry”.
