Prof Moied gets Fellowship of Indian College of Anaesthesiologists
ALIGARH : Prof S. Moied Ahmed, Department of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care, J.N. Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University has been awarded the Fellowship of Indian College of Anaesthesiologists (FICA), during the award ceremony of the 5th International and 14th National Conference of ICA, held at Lucknow recently.
Prof Moied has been given this honour in recognition of his contribution in the field of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care. He supervised the development of ICU’s and critical care wards in other specialties in the hospital and played a key role in starting Post Doctoral Certificate Course (PDCC) in Critical Care Medicine and initiating teaching and training programme for postgraduates in the Department of Anaesthesiology and other specialties.
He has been one of the lead authors for framing the Indian Guidelines in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) under the aegis of Indian Resuscitation Council Federation (IRCF), a member organization of International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR). The same guideline has been endorsed as a part of the curriculum for the postgraduate training in most medical colleges in India.
He is also the founder Editor-in-Chief of the ‘Journal of Resuscitation’.
