Prof Stephen Krashen to deliver web talk on ‘Secrets of Writing’

Aligarh: American linguist, educational researcher, political activist and professor emeritus at the University of Southern California, Stephen D Krashen will speak on ‘Secrets of Writing’ on November 15 in a web talk programme of the Department of Linguistics, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).

He will discuss how writing styles develop through the habit of reading and why writing is a powerful means of solving problems.

Prof Stephen Krashen specialises in theories of language acquisition and development and much of his recent research has involved the study of non-English and bilingual language acquisition. Since 1980, he has published well over 100 books and articles in peer-reviewed journals. His widely known theory of ‘second language acquisition’ has had a large impact in all areas of second language research and teaching.
