Prof. Zaheeruddin’s Services Appreciated

Aligarh: The outgoing Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Zaheeruddin was bid adieu at a farewell function on Wednesday.

Appreciating the services rendered by Prof Zaheeruddin as PVC, Vice Chancellor Prof Tariq Mansoor said, “It is great satisfaction that one retires with good health and after offering his duties diligently. Prof. Zaheeruddin had very active career as Chairman, Dean and other responsibilities which he fulfilled with excellence.”

He added that Prof. Zaheeruddin has performed all the administrative and academic responsibilities with sincerity and dedication.

“We will avail his services also after his retirement whenever required. We have enormous pool of superannuated teachers. We need to capitalise on their experience and expertise for academic purposes and students’ guidance,” Prof. Tariq Mansoor said.

Prof. Zaheeruddin, in his farewell speech expressed gratitude to everyone for their cooperation during his tenure. “Everyone extended their support in my career. Vice Chancellor’s office extended cooperation and fulfilled all the demands. I am always available for extending my services and share any responsibility,” he said.

Prof. Zaheeruddin has also served as Chairman and Dean, Faculty of Law. During his career he also served as Chief Election Officer for AMUSU. He was also member of Executive Council and Provost, Aftab Hall.

The farewell function was also attended by University officials including Controller of Examinations, Finance Officer and others.
