Progress of Agriculture, allied sector reviewed at Kupwara
Kupwara: The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Kupwara, Nazir Ahmad Lone today convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the progress of various schemes of Agriculture and allied departments in the district.
It was informed in the meeting that an expenditure of Rs.499.37 lakh has been incurred under CAPEX budget and Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) out of total allocated amount of Rs.623.83 lakh in the previous financial year.
It was also informed that out of this amount, Rs. 316.56 lakh have been expended in the year 2020-21under various CSSs including Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH), Sub Mission on Agriculture Extension (ATMA) (SAME-NMAET), PMDP, NMSA, RKVY, SMAM, PMKSY, National Food Security Mission-Rice/Pulses and Seed Village Programme.
On the occasion, the ADC stressed upon the concerned to ensure cent percent coverage of beneficiaries under the centrally sponsored schemes in the district. He said that effective saturation of these schemes in all corners of the district shall help achieve the objective of doubling the farmers income.
JD Planning, Chief Agriculture Officer Kupwara, Chief Horticulture Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, AD Fisheries and other concerned attended the meeting.
