PSPS Govt. PG Women College organises extension Lecture on “Digital Marketing: Opportunities & Threats”

JAMMU : Department of Computer Applications Padma Shri Padma Sachdev Govt. P.G College for Women Gandhi Nagar, in collaboration with IQAC & Department of Commerce on Monday organized a seminar on “Digital Marketing: Opportunities & Threats.”

The programme was held under the patronage of the College Principal Prof. Minu Mahajan and attended by 107 students of the college.

The Resource Person was Dr. Rohit Bhagat, Sr. Assistant Professor, The Business School Bhaderwah Campus University of Jammu.

In his talk, Dr. Bhagat gave a PowerPoint presentation on Digital Marketing through online channels like search engines, social media platforms, content creation and advertising. He also discussed objectives and opportunities of Digital Marketing. The major focus of the talk was on the privacy and security issues associated with digital marketing. Dr. Bhagat enumerated the different steps through which the threats posed by digital marketing can be converted into opportunities.

The event was organized by the committee constituted for Cyber Jaagrokta (Awareness) Diwas which includes Prof. Rohit Gupta (Nodal Officer), members’ viz. Dr. Ashok Kumar, Prof. Rajinder Kumar Prof. Poonam, Prof. Mamta Kundal, and Dr. Javaid Iqbal. The whole programme was coordinated by the Department of Computer Applications.
