Psychology students visited the center of correctional assistance “Dialogue.ru”
Students of the Department of Psychology of the Institute of Psychology and Pedagogy, together with their teacher Elena Olegovna Burachevskaya, Candidate of Psychology, Associate Professor of the Department of Psychology, visited the center of correctional assistance for children, adolescents and adults “Dialogue.ru”.
The Speech Center “Dialogue.ru” has been transformed from a correctional care room for children and adolescents who require classes of a speech therapist, psychologist and defectologist.
Director of the center Tatyana Vladimirovna Bondar and psychologist Anna Leonidovna Joseph spoke about the activities of the center, the main problems that parents contact the center, about innovative technologies and tools that the center’s specialists work with.
The students visited the Montessori office, in which Lekoteka is located, in the office for cerebellar stimulation, including a small climbing wall, in speech therapy offices, in the office of bioacoustic correction and others. In the dynamic hall “House of the Owls”, the children had the opportunity to experience the capabilities of the complex. The cerebellar stimulation program can include a huge number of different exercises that are aimed at training balance, coordination of movements, and muscle tone.
During the excursion around the center, students learned about modern technologies and correction programs, such as “TOMATIS” (the only ones in the North-West), RESET, FORBRAIN – the latest technologies to improve mental and speech development; “LHC” is a non-drug treatment of functional disorders of the central nervous system that does not involve interference with the rhythms of the body’s work. LHC is not addictive, has no side effects and has no age restrictions; “DIR / Floortime” is a systematic approach that is based on the diagnosis of the levels of functional emotional development of the child (D), takes into account the individual characteristics of the child and the social environment in which he develops (I) and is based on the relationship between the child and the people who are significant to him (R ), – the main goal of this approach is to help the family, raising a child and adolescent with communication difficulties (autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, mental retardation, etc.); the method of replacement ontogenesis (MLO) is a basic neuropsychological technology for correction, prevention and rehabilitation of children with different developmental options.
