Public Health and Modern Biology Research will be promoted. MoU signed between F M University and ICMR-RMRC

Bhubaneswar: Recent CORONA pandemic has made life difficult for people around the world. Therefore cutting edge research in the area of Modern biology is the need of the hour and Public Health education is extremely important for a better and healthy life said Professor Dinabandhu Sahoo, Vice Chancellor of Fakir Mohan University while signing a MoU between Fakir Mohan University, Balasore and Regional Medical Research Center (RMRC) of Indian Council Medical Research, Government of India at Bhubaneswar. Prof Sahoo mentioned that Inter institutional collaboration is the need of the hour and research can not be done in isolation. Further he emphasized that the local problems should be given the top most research and development priority so that the people of Odisha are benefited. Dr. Sanghamitra Pati, Director, Regional Medical Research Center said the students and faculty members will be hugely benefited through this collaboration which was long overdue and the MoU will benefit all the stake holders. The MoU will focus on joint PhD programme in area of Biotechnology, Life science, Public Health and other related subjects. Joint Seminars, Workshops, Conferences, Scholars exchange etc. will be undertaken in the above areas. Dr. Ajay Parida, Director, Institute of Life Sciences, Professor B.P.Dash, Director, Research and Development, FM University, officials and scientists of RMRC were present during the signing of the MoU.
