Punjab Government sets the procedure for nomination for Teacher State Award

Chandigarh: The Punjab Government has fixed the dates for submission of nominations for Teacher State Award-2020.

According to a spokesperson of the school education department, the Director Education (SS) has issued a letter directing to send the nominations online from 18th to 30th July 2020. According to the spokesperson, each teacher and school principal has allotted a unique ID on the portal and he can send nomination by log In. According to the spokesperson, no teacher / school head will apply for State Award himself. Any other teacher / school head / in-charge can send nomination for the state award of any teacher / school head. Apart from this nomination of a teacher / school head can also be send by the senior officer / district education officer / assistant director / deputy director / director general school education / education secretary of the department. Anyone who send nomination for the State Award will write in at least 250 words in their handwriting why they want to nominate a teacher / school principal.

According to the spokesperson, the teacher / school head who has completed at least 10 years of regular service can be nominated. Nomination may also be made for the teachers who were working under SSA, RMSA, PICTEC societies and completed 10 years of regular service. The awards will be presented on 5th September on the occasion of Teachers’ Day.
