PVR announces support to employees & their families through inclusive COVID- Care Package; Employee Support Program

 

New Delhi: PVR Ltd, India’s leading and premium film exhibitor, launched a holistic care package to help its employees tide over the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic. The company has announced free vaccination of all its employees and their dependents along with multiple employee- wellbeing initiatives, over the last one year to support its workforce. The package is comprehensive entailing Covid SOS medicines, vaccine registrations, 24*7 Covid helpline with on-ground response team, plasma database, oxygen concentrators, doctor on call assistance, hospitalization & ambulance services, and food deliveries for covid tested employees. PVR assures full support to its 10,000 employees including their dependents across locations in 70 cities in India.

Each module in the package has specific protocols to ensure timeliness in the service. The modus operandi comprises of a 24X7 Call Centre, an on-ground Covid Response Team at the local level with Cinema Managers /Duty Managers empowered with adequate resources. Further, dividing the cities into clusters or zones the operations are overseen by Regional Directors and Regional Managers. Contributing towards covid relief, company has collaborated with ZIQITZA for ambulance services and LYBRATE for doctor on call.

With government’s focus on nationwide vaccination, conditions will improve certainly and being direct service providers, we need to ensure complete safety of the customers along with the employees. On immediate priority we are extending medical, logistical and financial support with an on-ground covid response team at local levels.”

Details on services under Employee Support Program:

Vaccination Registrations: To make vaccination more accessible to employees and their families, the Regional Manager Operations collates the regional data and updates the pan India database so that when the employee connects to the Call Centre, they can provide assistance for registration on CoWin portal. With an objective to ensure 100% of our staff are fully vaccinated along with their dependents, PVR has taken the initiative of reimbursing the vaccination cost for each of the employees and their dependents.
Oxygen Concentrators (OC): Assistance on availability of oxygen concentrators across 10 cities in India which include Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Delhi and Chandigarh. To avail this facility, the employee needs to connect to the Call Centre, and submit the doctor’s prescription of home quarantine and the reason for taking the OC (positive RT-PCR report/ HRCT Report if available, Low SPO2 reading). Once the OC is allocated, the employee would be allowed to use it for a maximum of 3 days.
Medicine Bank: To help employee/dependents (suffering from COVID) find essential (OTC/prescribed) medicines in their city, local covid response team procures covid related medicines in sufficient quantity, stores them with the Covid Response Team (CRT) and provides them to needy PVR employees across all locations of PVR (70 cities) across the country.
Food Supply Assistance: PVR assists its employees in getting food delivered to COVID positive family members to their locations across 70 cities. To avail the same, the employee needs to connect to the Call centre (CC). On getting the information, the CRT would identify the nearest food providers to make arrangements for getting wholesome home cooked food delivered from localized food providers or through food aggregators to the patient’s location.
Doctor on Call 24 x 7: Provides assistance to PVR employees at all levels in connecting with a doctor at all times of the day. To avail this, the employee needs to connect with the Call Centre and a unique FOC ID code is given to the employee to ensure the connection between the PVR employee and the doctor using the ‘Lybrate’ app.
Database on Plasma Donors: PVR supports employees in finding plasma donors for family members from nearest locations. The helpline call center retrieves the list of all available and updated plasma donors maintained by the HR on a weekly basis and the Call Centre agent provides the employee with a list of all the eligible donors in the city/area.
Assistance for Hospitalization & Ambulance Services: PVR provides access to emergency healthcare services including 24*7 ambulance through ‘Ziqitza’ and hospitalization services nationally. To avail the same, the employee needs to connect with the Local CRT
